Golden Nugget Review Overview
Golden Nugget may be famous for its brick-and-mortar casino, but its online version packs a mean punch, too. Visiting the Golden Nugget online site, I was awe-struck by the ‘unmistakable eye-catching design’ — it stays true to the gold and black we know Golden Nugget for.
Slots are the highlight of the casino, but I also found table games like blackjack, craps, and roulette. Added to the free casino credits to claim on signup and quick payouts, I can confide that it goes blow for blow with the industry ‘heavyweights’ like BetMGM and DraftKings.
Their partnership with big-name developers like NetEnt, WMS, NextGen, Big Time Gaming, and High 5 Games guarantees a curated list of games, so you know the action never stops. Lastly, besides the perks for returning players, I liked the rewards (loyalty) program the casino calls Dynasty. With this, I earn Crowns and Tier credits, among other benefits, for every dollar spent at the casino.
Golden Nugget Look and Feel
We scored Golden Nugget 7.5/10
At first glance, Golden Nugget makes you feel like you have indeed entered the high roller’s club; I loved the color scheme and bright graphics. The casino has an air of luxury you feel when you get to the lobby. As you might have expected, gold and black are the theme colors. Likewise, the graphics are eye-catching, and you are hit with a barrage of slots when you start scrolling down.
Navigation is a breeze even though the casino foregoes an intricate design for seamless functionality. The casino works great on mobile and even better on PC. No matter how long you take on the site, you never have glitches or clunky scrolling. Finding your way around the casino is no hassle, owing to the many filters you get for your searches.
You can choose games based on the category or theme, like slots, live dealers, tap games, steppers, table games, exclusives, jackpots, and blackjack. As such, you find your games quickly even if you can’t quite remember the game.
Even though the casino navigates quite well, I have to point out that it does feel a little dated compared to some of the current casinos with designs that stick to a theme.
Golden Nugget Game Selection
We Scored Golden Nugget 10/10
Online players may have big expectations for Golden Nugget if we are talking game selection, and boy, does the casino live up to the hype. I found over 1,500 games to choose from, including all my favorites. The entertainment value is huge here, thanks to all the choices for slots, tables, and live dealers.
Even better, I can always switch from game to game whenever I want to try something new. It also helps that the casino enlists big-name game providers, giving access to all the games you might have enjoyed at other casinos.
Slots
Slots are always the highlight at any casino you visit, and Golden Nugget ensures you get the best. Right off the bat, I could tell that the slots section is filled with fun games. There is a cavalcade of these to look through as soon as you scroll through the main lobby.
In addition to having some of the most popular names, the slot section also has different types of slots to choose from. The famous Megaways engine from Big Time Gaming is playable on various titles. I also found classic 3-reelers and more modern 5-reel slots to try out.
Piggy Payouts Bank Buster Luckytap, Cash Eruption, 10,000 Wonders 10K Ways, and Hypernova Megaways are among those I highly recommend you give a spin when you get to the casino.
Table Games
Tables like classic roulette, blackjack, video poker, and craps are among those you can expect at the casino. With tens of options to choose from, you get interesting iterations of your favorite games like Multi-hand Blackjack and Speed Roulette.
One thing I found that makes the table section so playable is that you get betting limits for casual players, and those only high rollers would dare play. The classic tables would not be complete without emblematic versions of video poker like Deuces Wild, Jacks or Better, and Double Bonus Poker, which you can all play at Golden Nugget.
Live Dealer Games
What’s better than a live dealer game that you play from the comfort of your house? Golden Nugget has an ample selection of these powered by top providers like Evolution Gaming. If there is one thing I know about Evolution Gaming, the game provider takes live games to the next level.
The game studios are immaculate in every sense of the word, and the camera angles make the whole experience immersive. The live dealer suite offers over 25 live tables with everything from blackjack to baccarat and casino hold ’em. The dealers are professional and pleasant, and the software runs without a glitch, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Jackpots
Jackpots come with the exciting prospect of clinching that pocket-rocking grand prize that instantly changes your life. Well, I found hundreds of jackpot games to play at Golden Nugget! And it’s not just slots. I also found blackjack, baccarat, and roulette games with progressive jackpot pools. Some examples include Ultimate Texas Hold ’em (813k pool), Infinite Blackjack (267k pool), 88 Fortunes (812k pool), and Extra Chilli Megaways (812k).
Golden Nugget Bonuses and Promotions
We scored Golden Nugget 8/10
Any casino worth its weight in gold will offer you bonus rewards to get you excited about signing up and coming back again and again. That’s exactly what you get at Golden Nugget. For starters, I found new players have a bonus of their own to claim, which is followed up with weekly rewards:
Welcome Bonus
A welcome bonus is somewhat of a standard at online casinos. Golden Nugget promises to give you casino credits worth $50 when you sign up and make your first deposit of at least $5! I loved the bonus’s simplicity and the fact that you can claim it within 7 days of opting into the promo. Even better, the offer comes with a x1 playthrough requirement to cash out winnings, which I liked, and that is unheard of at today’s casinos. However, this is only available to players in Michigan (MI), Pennsylvania (PA), New Jersey (NJ), and West Virginia (WV).
Dynasty Rewards
Golden Nugget has one of the best VIP programs I’ve enjoyed—Dynasty Club, which has five tiers to work through. You get to level up through the tiers by depositing and playing games at Golden Nugget casino, which, in turn, awards you Tier Credits and Crowns. After reaching the Tier Credit threshold for each level, you’re upgraded to the next.
For example, you need 5,000 Tier Credits to move from the Bronze (first level) to the Silver Tier (second level); the topmost level, Onyx, is invite-only, and players must hit a minimum of 175,000 Tier Credits to be considered. Each level brings about new exclusive bonuses, Crown boosts, milestone rewards, and priority customer support.
And for the best part, I can redeem Crowns for casino credits or spend these in the Dynasty Store.
Golden Nugget Banking
We scored Golden Nugget 9/10
Banking is a delight at Golden Nugget. The variety of payment options has been a great plus. For example, I could choose from Cash at Cage, PayPal, Venmo, and debit cards, such as Mastercard and VISA. While deposits are instant, withdrawals take between 1 hour and four (4) business days to process.
Payment Option | Minimum Deposit | Minimum Withdrawal | Withdrawal Processing Time |
PayPal | $10 | $10 | Up to 2 Business Days |
Venmo | Not Mentioned | Not Mentioned | Up to 2 Business Days |
Play+ | $10 | $10 | Up to 4 Business Days |
VIP Preferred | Not Mentioned | Not Mentioned | Up to 3 Business Days |
VISA | $10 | $10 | Up to 1 Business Days |

Golden Nugget Support
We scored Golden Nugget 8.6/10
Support can make or break a casino site, and Golden Nugget knows this. I found multiple responsive customer support channels, which earned my favorable rating. However, these are not immediately visible once you load/open the casino. I had to get to the ‘Help’ page or click on ‘Contact US’ on the site’s footer.
Still, navigating to the ‘Help’ page opens up the help center, which holds many resources, including guides on deposits and withdrawals, account management, responsible gambling, and taxes. To contact the customer support team, click on the ‘Support’ icon in the bottom right corner. This will bring up the live chat option, where you can make inquiries and get connected to an available agent.
You can also opt for email support through support@goldennuggetcasino.com. There’s also an online form (Submit a Ticket), Request a Callback option, and phone support — although the contact number may vary from state to state.
LowPlays Verdict
Golden Nugget overall score is 8.6/10
Golden Nugget has easily been my go-to platform for its huge (regularly updated) games library, spectacular tournaments, and the Dynasty Rewards program. While it plays second fiddle to DraftKings, it’s every bit similar, if not the same—heck, even the Dynasty program is shared among the platforms.
Still, you don’t have to choose between the two; I regularly switch between the platforms to enjoy the best of both. That said, casual players will like the welcome bonus’ low deposit requirements, while high rollers can shoot for the VIP club. I recommend the casino for players who enjoy simplicity and those hunting for bonus rewards. Sign up for the platform to enjoy these perks and more.
