LowPlays Rating
BetMGM is an interactive betting site that covers mostly mainstream sports and horse racing. It is an accommodating betting hub for low-deposit and recreational UK punters, offering affordable bonuses and loyalty benefits to every active member. If you’re UK-based, you might notice the absence of certain sports, such as cricket. However, BetMGM’s flaws are negligible compared to the streamlined experience it provides.

BetMGM Review Overview
BetMGM is a subsidiary of MGM Resorts International, one of the leading entertainment and hospitality companies in the world. BetMGM has global interests and is deeply embedded in the UK’s online gaming industry. Our BetMGM review will focus exclusively on the site’s UK-based operation.
LowPlays experts conducted a hands-on review of BetMGM, testing five major company components: interface and design, betting selection, support, bonuses, and payment options. In extension to these introductory paragraphs, we will explore each aspect separately and explain why we believe BetMGM meets the needs of casual and low-stakes punters.
BetMGM Look & Feel
We scored 10/10
BetMGM has a smart and orderly website design. On desktop, the sports categories, betting features, and additional buttons are methodically laid out. You can navigate the sports categories via the header menu or the menu on the left-hand side of the screen. In the upper left-hand side of the screen, you will see the Sports and Promotions buttons and a magnifying glass representing the search bar icon.
When you open any sport, the book shows the main markets within view (at the centre of the screen), and the alternative betting markets are below. The bet slip is on the right-hand side of the screen. Here, you will also see a Media tab where you can select live events and stream select games.
Between the upper and left side menus are promotional banners for ongoing sports offers, but they are absolutely unimposing and unobtrusive. The content exhibition is equally agreeable on handset devices like tablets and smartphones. The BetMGM iOS and Android apps offer a more streamlined experience, but our LowPlays review experts also enjoyed the mobile website interface.
BetMGM Betting Selection
We scored 7/10
At LowPlays, we evaluate a bookmaker’s intrinsic value by examining its sports and betting market coverage and betting features. Based on our direct experience with BetMGM, it ranks high in terms of betting markets but lacks in features and the list of sports categories is narrow. As far as sports go, you will find odds for:
- Football
- American football
- Basketball
- Golf
- Hockey
- Boxing
- Rugby Union
- Tennis
- Baseball
- MMA
- Nascar
If you’re in the UK, you’ll be disappointed not to find cricket in the sports index. If you’re a video gaming betting enthusiast, esports betting is off the menu. We gave BetMGM points for its dedicated racebook, covering horse racing and greyhound racing, but our overall verdict is that the sports selection must be expanded.
In terms of features, there is a ‘Favourites’ tab where you can find a list of top picks and an ‘Easy Parlay’ feature for those who prefer accumulator tickets. But as far as handy features go, that’s about it. Our experts would like to see popular tools like alerts, notifications, (partial) cash-out, live streams, and accumulator (acca) boosts.
BetMGM Bonuses & Promotions
We scored 9/10
When we excluded the casino and live casino promotions, there was still a decent selection of sports bonuses and promotions. Football aficionados can win up to £2 million (yes, 2 million pounds) by predicting six correct football scores. Other noteworthy promos are the weekly horse racing boosts and weekly acca profit boosts.
For the main dish, BetMGM has cooked up a couple of great offers. If you’re a new member, you are eligible for the sports welcome offer, awarding up to £40 in free bets when you deposit and wager at least £10. As a regular player, you can get the BetMGM weekly £5 free bet every week from Monday to Sunday. All you need to do is opt in, create a 4+ leg accumulator ticket with 2.00 (1/1) minimum odds, and stake at least £10. The 2.00 minimum odds requirement is a small downside of this offer.
As betting experts, LowPlays focuses on the intrinsic value of bonuses rather than just on their face value. The intrinsic worth of a bonus is determined by its specific terms of use and BetMGM’s general promotional terms. Drawing from our direct use of BetMGM bonuses, we found the terms (deposit limits, validity, wagering requirements, and stake limits) to be fair and user-friendly.
BetMGM Banking
We scored 8/10
At Lowplays, we assess a bookmaker’s banking department by examining its selection of payment methods, deposit/withdrawal turnaround, and general terms applying to money transfers. Based on our practical experience, the terms are fair, and there are no surplus fees for depositing or cashing in winnings.
The selection of payment options can be refreshed with a few more e-wallets, given their popularity. Currently, you can transfer/cash out using Mastercard and Visa (debit), Apple Pay, Paypal, Online Banking, and Direct Bank Transfer. BetMGM processes and approves most transfers within minutes. The cash-out turnaround depends on the method. It can take anywhere from a few hours to up to 24 hours or drag on over the course of several banking days.
BetMGM is not responsible for fees charged by your bank or payment provider. The payment terms are excellent. If you’re a low-stakes bettor, you can deposit at least £10, which is the base deposit. The minimum withdrawal is £10, but you can request a smaller amount by contacting customer support.
BetMGM Customer Support
We scored 10/10
As a regular BetMGM customer, you are entitled to professional support around the clock. Our LowPlays reviewers, whenever they review a bookie for the first time, rely extensively on every means of support they can find. At BetMGM, you can seek support in multiple ways.
You can visit the FAQs and Help Centre pages and poke around. The information-rich content answers general and specific queries related to account usage, payments, betting rules, responsible gaming, account verification, security and privacy, and other important issues.
You can also use the Sitemap to navigate the content easily or get in touch with an assistant. You can do so by using BetMGM’s live chat or E-Mail Us feature. If you have a complaint, you should first relay the issue to BetMGM’s internal dispute resolution department. If the issue persists, you can reach out to a certified outside organisation like IBAS or Resolver.
LowPlays Verdict
BetMGM overall score is 8.8/10
LowPlays’ experts are skilled reviewers that can detect even seemingly inconspicuous flaws. In our experience with BetMGM, those flaws are reduced to an absolute minimum. The bookie could use a few more banking methods, betting features, and sports categories.
Other than that, the customer support agents are amiable and quick to respond to queries. You can always explore multiple sports promotions and bonuses, and the range of betting markets is all-inclusive. The low-deposit bonuses and MGM Rewards programme make even casual players feel important and indulged.
